How the process works
A clear path from first message to pickup day — with realistic expectations, transparent notes, and a simple checklist for a smooth transition.
Step 1: Tell us your goals
Send a short message with:
- Species (cattle, goats, sheep)
- Quantity range and your purpose
- Timeline and location
- Your setup (fencing, shelter, pasture)
Microcopy tip: the more context you include, the faster we can give a useful answer.
Step 2: Fit check + notes
We reply with what’s currently available (or what’s realistic for the next season), plus any relevant notes/records we have for the animals or groups that match.
We don’t “sell you a dream.” We focus on fit, clarity, and next steps.
Step 3: Confirm timing
If you want to move forward, we confirm a pickup window that makes sense for:
- Weather and travel time
- Your ability to monitor the first days
- Our herd routines and biosecurity
Step 4: Reservation (if applicable)
Depending on the group, we may take a small deposit to reserve an agreed pickup window. If so, we’ll explain terms clearly before you commit.
If no deposit is required, we’ll tell you the confirmation method that secures the pickup.
Step 5: Pickup day
We coordinate the basics so pickup is smooth:
- Address and arrival instructions
- Loading plan and trailer notes
- Any paperwork or documentation we have
Visits and pickups are by appointment only.
Step 6: First week support
We share a simple checklist for the first 72 hours and do a short follow‑up. If you have questions, reach out — we’ll help within the limits of what we can responsibly advise.
We keep visits structured for a reason.
Healthy animals depend on routine and biosecurity. We schedule visits and pickups in a way that protects the herd and respects the animal’s stress levels.
- By appointmentWe coordinate timing and location on the property.
- Clean trailers helpA clean, dry trailer reduces stress and health risk during transport.
- Transition mattersQuarantine/transition pens can be helpful depending on your setup and veterinarian guidance.
